ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the clinical value of serum interleukin(IL)-33 and its soluble receptor ST2(sST2) level in patients with chronic hepatitis B.Methods A total of 65 cases with chronic hepatitis B were recruited into study group, meanwhile 60 healthy persons were enrolled in the control group from January 2014 to October 2016 in our hospital.IL-33,sST2 and alanine aminotransferase(ALT) were detected and compared in the two groups. Results The level of IL-33,sST2 and ALT were significant higher than those of the control group(t=6.542,7.218,6.324;P<0.05).IL-33 and sST2 levels in chronic hepatitis B patients with abnormal ALT level were significant higher than those with normal ALT(t=16.328,9.874,P<0.05).Conclusion The detection of IL-33 and sST2 in patients with chronic hepatitis B could help to understand the immune status of patients, and provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.

ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To investigate diagnosis method and treatment experience of jugulare glomus tumor (JGT) and carotid body tumor (CBT).@*METHOD@#Retrospective analysis. Clinical materials from 4 patients at one genealogy with JGT and CBT were collected. The clinical features, radiological characteristics, surgical methods and prognosis were assessed. The proband suffered from left JGT and left CBT, her younger sister had right CBT as well as her younger female cousin had bilateral CBT and right JGT, her older male cousin had bilateral CBT and left JGT. These JGT and CBT in four patients were resected under general anesthesia after preoperative ultrasound, CT or CT angiography (CTA), MRI, and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) examination as well as preoperative vascular embolization.@*RESULT@#The surgery was uneventful in four cases, and there was no hemiplegia or deaths. All patients were followed up for 2 years to 29 months without recurrence. Six months after operation, the hoarseness also disappeared in the older male cousins but did not improve significantly in younger female cousin. The younger female cousin get right peripheral facial paralysis 1 year after surgery and her temporal bone CT indicated a right JGT.@*CONCLUSION@#It is very important to assess JGT and CBT by Ultrasound, CT, CTA, MRI and DSA. Surgical resection is the first optional treatment for JGT and CBT. Blood loss can be reduced by preop erative vascular embolization. Serious complications could be avoid by operating under microscope, which can supply a clear surgical field and make the surgeon to protect the large blood vessels and nerve.

ABSTRACT

Objective To sum up the specificity in clinical care of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS),and provide reference for putting forward scientific and effective clinical care project. Methods 200 male schizophrenia patients with rTMS treatment were divided into the research group and the control group with 100 cases in each group randomly. Then, the research group adopted the specific nursing which was obtained from the pre-experiment while the control group adopted the routine care. Moreover,NORS scale was used to evaluate the treatment effect.Changhai Pain Measuring Scale was employed to assess headaches in pre-treatment and post-treatment.Results The data of the research group in NORS scale was obviously lower than the control group, and the difference between two groups had statistical significance. No case occurred adverse reaction in the research group,in contract with many cases with adverse reaction in the control group. Conclusions Specific nursing can reduce complications effectively for schizophrenia patients receiving rTMS treatment, and it is a scientific, effective and mature clinical care method.

ABSTRACT

AIM:To explore the interaction and function between ZnT3 mRNA expression and zinc elemental distribution in brain slice of mouse.METHODS:Zinc distribution was determined by SRXRF and ZnT3 mRNA expression in tissue was examined by RT-PCR method.RESULTS:Zinc content in cerebral cortex and hippocampus was significantly higher than that in other positions. The highest expression of ZnT3 mRNA was observed in cerebrum, hippocampus and testis. However, the ZnT3 mRNA was not detected in heart, liver, lung, spleen, kidney, intestine, olfactory bulb and cerebellum.CONCLUSION:ZnT3 facilitates the accumulation of zinc in synaptic vesicles and may play important roles in structuring of vesicular zinc pool.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the occurrence and development of schistosomiasis japonica hepatic fibrosis, and the treatment countermeasure. Methods Three groups of patients, including advanced schistosomiasis (splenectomy involved), non-advanced schistosomiasis splenomegaly and advanced schistosomiasis with hepatitis, were followed up. Biochemical tests including hepatic fibrosis indexes, liver ultrasonography, lymphocyte subcluster, and membrane CD35 were examined. Immunohistochemical tests of liver cells were performed in some patients. Results A total of 94.06% of 1212 patients took various anti-schistosome treatments. The difference was significant for positive antigen and antibody to schistosome, LN and HA ,and the ultrasonic indexes of liver fibrosis among the three groups. The degree of liver substance pathohistological examinations showed inflammation had a positive correlation with hepatic fibrosis. The contents of C-Ⅰ, C-Ⅲ in portal regions, central vein and hepatic sinusoid were increased in advanced schistosomiasis hepatic fibrosis. In hepatic fibrosis, hepatic sinusoid showed two pathological changes of dilation and stricture. Conclusions In schistosomiasis japonica, hepatic sinusoid changes play a great role in hepatic fibrosis.Hepatic fibrosis would still develop even after the thorough anti-schistosome therapy. So, anti-fibrosis therapy is necessary.
